The usual way this goes

It's 115°, and you're the one being sold to.

The house stops cooling. You call whoever answers, get a four-hour window, and a tech arrives with a tablet already open to a replacement quote. Somewhere in there the conversation stopped being about what's actually broken.

You still don't know whether it's a $100 capacitor or a real problem. All you know is that the number on the tablet is five figures and expires today.

What happens here instead

Every rate is published before you call. You hear the number on the phone, agree to it, and it doesn't move once I'm on site. If it's a clogged drain line, you'll hear that too, and you'll pay for the visit and nothing else.

Why people call back

What you're not getting.

Nobody is angling to sell you a system

Every job here is capped under $1,000 and no one works on commission. There is no version of this visit that ends in a financing offer.

You know the number before anyone starts

Every rate is published on this site. You hear the price, you agree to it, and only then does anything get touched.

You reach a cell, not a call center

No dispatcher, no ticket number, no phone tree. You keep the number, and it still works the next time something goes wrong.

He checked everything over, tested the capacitor, and even replaced my air filter. Everything was running good, and I really appreciated that he took the time to make sure the system was in good shape instead of trying to sell me something I didn’t need.

Straight answers

The things people actually want to ask.

You're not a licensed contractor. Should that worry me?

It means two things: I can't pull permits, and no single job can go over $1,000 in labor and materials combined. That's the whole restriction. It's also the reason nobody here is going to tell you that you need a new system. I'm not allowed to sell you one. If yours genuinely needs replacing, I'll say so and hand you to a licensed Arizona contractor. No fee, no markup, no obligation.

Is the $80 check-up actually $80?

In North Phoenix, Paradise Valley, and Scottsdale, yes. No trip fee, no dispatch fee, no fuel surcharge. Outside those areas the visit falls under a $150 job minimum instead, so call and ask before you book. If you want a repair done on the same visit, that's a separate flat price off the published list, and you agree to it before I start.

What if you find something else while you're here?

You hear the number and agree to it before anything gets touched. If you'd rather sit on it and think, that's a fine answer. Nothing gets done on assumption.

How do I know the problem is real?

Every visit leaves a written record: pressures, electrical readings, airflow, and photos of whatever I found. You keep it. Take it to another shop for a second set of eyes if you want. That's part of what it's for.

Someone quoted me a big number. Is a second opinion worth it?

It's $120 and it's on the price list. Show me the quote and I'll tell you what I'd charge for the same work, or whether it needs doing at all.

What if it just needs a filter?

Then that's what you'll hear, and you'll pay for the visit and nothing else. A good share of no-cooling calls come down to a clogged drain line or a filter nobody has changed in two years.

Can you come out today?

Everything is by appointment. Call and you'll get the soonest honest answer. Often I can narrow it down on the phone and tell you whether it's even worth a visit.

Tell me what it's doing.

Straight answer on the phone, no pitch on the end of it.

  • North Phoenix
  • Paradise Valley
  • Scottsdale

Outside these areas there's a $150 job minimum. Call and ask.
