For tune-ups and small repairs, no. It just means no permit work, and each job stays under $1,000 for labor and materials combined. The upside: there's no new system to sell you. If yours really does need replacing, you'll hear it straight and get pointed to a licensed Arizona contractor. No fee, no markup.
Is the $80 check-up actually $80?
In North Phoenix, Central Phoenix, Paradise Valley, and Scottsdale, yes, plus tax. No trip fee, no dispatch fee, no fuel surcharge. Outside those areas there's a $150 job minimum, so just ask when you call. Want a repair done on the same visit? That's its own flat price from the list, and you'll hear it first.
What if something else turns up during the visit?
You'll hear the price first and decide. Want to think it over? Totally fine. Nothing gets done without your OK.
How do I know the problem is real?
Every visit comes with a written record: pressures, electrical readings, airflow and photos. It's yours to keep, and you're welcome to show it to someone else for a second look.
Someone quoted me a big number. Is a second opinion worth it?
It's $120, right there on the price list. Send over the quote and you'll get an honest take: what it should cost, or whether it needs doing at all.
What if it just needs a filter?
Then that's all you'll hear, and you pay for the visit. Plenty of no-cooling calls turn out to be a clogged drain line or a filter that's two years overdue.
